Tifosi Optics Launches Rail XC with Updated Fit and Lens Tech
The Rail XC is the next iteration of Tifosi’s best-selling Rail series
Watkinsville, GA (February 28, 2023) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ Tifosi Optics, the #1 selling brand of cycling eyewear in the United States, is excited to announce the newest style in its best-selling Rail series: The Rail XC.
Since launching in March 2022, Tifosi’s Rail has become the brand’s most popular sport sunglass. Ideal for cyclists but equally functional for other endurance pursuits, the Rail solves for the drawbacks that often come with larger shields: increased weight and restricted airflow. Its rimless design not only shaves weight but breaks the airflow restricting seal that can be created against a face via the frame’s rim.
As with the flagship Rail, the Rail XC features a rimless design, Grilamid TR-90 frames, adjustable nose and ear pieces, and shatterproof, scratch-resistant polycarbonate lenses. However, with a 6.9mm shallower lens-cut compared to its predecessor, the Rail XC was designed to accommodate smaller face profiles. Weighing only 31g, and offering users 52.6mm x 131mm worth of eye protection, the Rail XC will also entice those looking for a more compact shield-style frame.
“After seeing how successful the Rail was, we wanted more people to be able to wear our rimless shields – especially those with smaller face profiles that aren’t as compatible with a large shield like the Rail,” said Joe Earley, Owner of Tifosi Optics. “The Rail XC hits the sweet spot in terms of maximum eye protection with a smaller fit,” Earley continued.
The Rail XC also debuts Tifosi’s first incorporation of a Clarion Blue Fototec lens – one of the only lenses on the market that combines mirror and photochromic technology. Clarion Blue Fototec adapts to changes in ambient light, beginning nearly clear and darkening to a smoke tint with a blue mirror in sunlight. A great option for cyclists, Clarion Blue Fototec allows you to ride through varying lighting conditions without stopping to change lenses. The Rail XC will also be available in Clarion Red Fototec and 3-lens interchange models with lenses for bright, low, and no light scenarios.
Regardless of lens and color choice, the Rail XC costs a highly affordable $79.95. The Rail XC will launch online and through retailers on February 28, 2023. For more information, please visit: http://www.tifosioptics.com
