Performance Overview
Sanctum excels in providing clear vision and robust eye protection across various activities. The oversized lens ensures broad coverage, shielding your eyes from wind, debris, and harmful UV rays. The lightweight design and hydrophilic nose pads keep the sunglasses securely in place, even during intense workouts.
The Sanctum is Tifosi's first model to utilize its eco-friendly Thrive technology, featuring a frame material made from 45% renewable raw materials sourced from castor oil. This full-frame design is crafted entirely from Thrive material, except for the small nose pads. Although minimalistic designs can be appealing, the frame material has a somewhat hard plastic feel that, while flexible, may not be the most comfortable for extended wear. Adding a thin line of rubber to the arms could significantly enhance comfort. Despite the small nose pads, the Sanctum excels at staying in place during running, jumping, or traversing bumpy gravel terrain. They remain stable and, as advertised, don't slip.
Priced at $34.95, the Sanctum enters the market as a direct contender against popular brands like Goodr. Comparatively, I've been much more impressed with Tifosi's offerings, where I can hardly get a pair from Goodr out of the box without scratching them, the Tifosi lenses have proven quite tough and scratch resistant.
Tifosi Sanctum
Minor Drawback: While Sanctum offers excellent performance, the ventilation could be slightly better. There have been instances of fogging during slow climbs on hot days, but this minor issue does not overshadow the overall quality and functionality of these sunglasses.
