This is a fantastic video documenting a father and daughter bikepacking trip through the Himalayas. Over 21 days, the pair covered 1,250km, through illness, extreme winds, and over rough terrain and high altitudes they prevailed and shared a very memorable journey.
In late 2018, father-daughter duo, Jess & Peter Cappendell decided to bike tour 1250 kilometers across Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia. It would be a 21-day, self-supported adventure that took them to the limits both physically and mentally.
Having completed a similar cycle trip through the Australian desert previously, they wanted to push themselves to the next level with an expedition more extreme than ever before. So, of course, we decided to give them a camera €¦
This is the documentary we’ve created about that incredible journey. It’s an uncompromising look at what it truly takes to step outside your comfort zone and immerse yourself in a way of life completely foreign to your own.
Made all the more entertaining by Peter & Jess who are fantastic characters to follow throughout this monumental ordeal. Over the course of the story their relationship is tested by hard kilometers, blistering heat and debilitating illness but you will fall in love with this unique pair and their brutally honest narration of every new challenge they face.
While the technical aspects of filming under such intense and remote conditions proved extremely difficult, it’s the narrative and raw emotion of this documentary that make’s it edge-of-your-seat viewing.
