New Gravel Chainrings from Wheels MFG: $115, July Delivery, Modern Offset
Wheels Manufacturing's new gravel chainrings offer modern chainline geometry and U.S. manufacturing, but $115+ and a July ship date mean you'll need patience.
Wheels Manufacturing's new gravel chainrings are 7075 aluminum, 8-bolt SRAM direct-mount, and come in 40T through 46T with a 6.5mm inboard offset. That offset is what matters here — it's designed to match modern gravel chainlines, which means fewer cross-chain angles when you're running a 1x setup with wide-range cassettes. If your current ring puts you at the edge of your cassette with chain rub, this might clean that up. They're also making both SRAM and Shimano tooth profiles, so chain compatibility is covered.

Here's the catch: they're $115–$125, which is steep for an aluminum ring, and they won't ship until July. That's a long wait if you're trying to solve a problem now. I also can't verify how the anodized colors (seven options, including teal and purple) hold up under real grit and chain wear — pretty rings don't stay pretty on gravel. If you're running SRAM 8-bolt and need a chainline fix or just want U.S.-made components, these are worth watching.
