Grand Seiko Drops a Limited-Edition Evolution 9 with Stunning Ice-Blue Dial

Grand Seiko marks its 65th anniversary with the SLGH027, a limited-edition timepiece featuring a bold reinterpretation of the Mt. Iwate dial. Unlike previous versions, which depicted the mountain’s ridges as seen from the brand’s Shizukuishi studio, this new pattern takes an aerial perspective. The result is a striking ice-blue dial with deep radial ridges that give the illusion of descending the mountainside.

Housed in Grand Seiko’s Evolution 9 case, crafted from Ever-Brilliant Steel, the SLGH027 is powered by the high-beat Caliber 9SA5. This advanced movement boasts an 80-hour power reserve, a Dual Impulse Escapement, and a nature-inspired wave pattern on its bridges. Limited to 1,200 pieces, the SLGH027 is priced at $10,500.
