Canyon Announces Grizl Gravel Bike

Canyon unveiled its all-new Grizl gravel bike today. The Grizl is Canyon’s answer to those looking for a more adventurous, singletrack capable, bikepacking ready drop bar bike than its current race-oriented Grail offering.

The Grizl will be offered in two frame levels: The Grizl CF SL and the premium CF SLX, which features a lighter carbon frame (950g painted, size M, including small parts). Canyon USA will offer six Grizl builds, ranging in price from $2,199 to $4,899.

The Grizl features simiar geometry to the Grail, and is offered in seven frame sizes. Similar to the Canyon Grail, the two smallest 2XS and XS sizes use smaller 650B wheels, with bigger sizes coming standard with 700C. Running 650b wheels on all but the smallest frames is not recommended by Canyon, as you won’t gain any tire capacity.

All Grizl models come with 45mm tires mounted on tubeless-ready rims, with clearance for 50 mm. The Grizl frame comes equiped with internal routing for full dropper post compatibility and is both 1-by and 2-by compatible.

Finally, Canyon teamed up with Apidura to create a set of packs tailored to the Grizl. The collection is exclusively available from Canyon and Apidura.com and will be available via Canyon’s website later this year.

A limited selection of Grizl models will be available beginning May 11. Learn more at Canyon.com
