Bicycles Introduces the Updated Erdgeschoss Gravel Bike with Fresh Paint Options

Berlin-based brand, Standert Bicycles, has just announced the return of their flagship gravel bike, the Erdgeschoss, with some exciting updates. The updated Erdgeschoss features three new eye-catching color options – “Ka-Pow! Khaki,” “Yeah! Yellow,” and “Pang! Pink,” while retaining its bikepacking-friendly features that make it stand out from the brand’s lineup.

Built around a stainless steel frame and a carbon Columbus Cross+ fork, the Standert Erdgeschoss is a versatile gravel and bikepacking frame that handles all terrain and payloads with ease. The frame has clearance for 700c x 50mm or 650b x 54mm tires, making it perfect for off-road adventures. The adjustable 47mm or 52mm fork offset, front and rear internal dynamo routing, seatstay mount for a rear light, and sliding rear dropouts that allow for adjustment of the wheelbase make it a highly customizable frame to suit individual riding preferences.

The Erdgeschoss also boasts plenty of mounts, including three-pack mounts on the seat tube, top of the downtube, and fork blades, top tube bag mounts, a standard bottle mount under the downtube, and rack/fender mounts. The updated model features front and rear thru-axles (12×100/12×142), a straight headtube, a T47 bottom bracket, and a standard 27.2mm seatpost diameter.

The updated Erdgeschoss comes in seven sizes, ranging from 48cm to 60cm, and the frameset weighs in at a modest 1,980 grams for a 54cm frame. The frameset comes with a Chris King Inset 7 headset in one of four coordinated colors.

Erdgeschoss framesets are priced at $2,422 ($2,035 without VAT), in line with the brand’s usual boutique pricing. For complete builds, the standard Shimano GRX 810 2×11 build costs $5,175 ($4,350 without VAT), while the SRAM 1x Rival XPLR eTap AXS and SRAM 1x Force XPLR eTap AXS builds add $330 and $550, respectively. The final price will depend on various upgrade options, such as wheels, bottom bracket, tires, etc.

Overall, the updated Erdgeschoss gravel bike is a stylish and versatile option for anyone looking to hit the gravel roads or explore the backcountry. With its customizable features and range of builds, Standert Bicycles has created a bike that caters to the needs of different types of riders.
