BERD Talon Hubset - Strong, Light, and Convenient

BERD has launched the Talon hubset, specifically designed for use with their UHMWPE BERD Spokes, which are claimed to have 12x the strength-to-weight ratio of steel and improved fatigue life. The Talon hubs feature hooked flanges, making wheel building faster and more straightforward compared to modifying a J-Bend hub. They come with a 36t dual-sprung ratchet and have a maximum weight limit of 300 lbs (136 kg). The hubs are Centerlock only and currently available in Boost Spacing with XD, Microspline, and 11-speed freehubs. They are priced at $496 USD for the set with the 36t ratchet and $2,095 USD for complete wheelsets. The Talon hubs are aimed at XC and Trail riders and come with a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
