Bear Growl Gravel Grinder Announces July 2021 Date
Ride the epic gravel of Northern California in this truly unique gravel experience
March 22, 2021 (Chico, California) — One of gravel cycling’s most picturesque races, Bear Growl Gravel Grinder announces its 2021 event date July 10, 2021. This annual event, back after a few seasons, is an exciting and challenging gravel cycling extravaganza showcasing the region of Greenville, California in a fun, relaxed experience.
The Bear Growl Gravel Grinder (B3G) is an exciting and challenging cycling event, showcasing the most amazing roads in Indian Valley and welcomes riders of all skill levels for a weekend of riding and celebration of all things gravel cycling. This event is for the first timer to the hardcore gravel racer.
Tucked in the base of Northern California’s Sierra Nevada mountain range, a stone’s throw from Reno and Chico, B3G is a celebration of gravel riding at its best and a one-of-a-kind cycling experience. B3G offers 2 gravel route options- 90 mile, 50 mile route along with a 60 mile road event. All three routes feature a perfect blend of beauty with historic Sierra Nevada elevation grades.
The 2020 edition went virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic but returns this year with its small town, laid back atmosphere. This California gravel event will expand its weekend experience, offering individuals and families alike a fun-filled California adventure. Joe Coddington, the event’s newly named director, is looking forward to bringing the event live again.
“I’m beyond excited to be able to give a new life to this event. Over the past few seasons, B3G (Bear Growl Gravel Grinder) has been hit with forest fires and then Covid. This event takes place in one of the most beautiful regions of the country and is a great place to ride with your friends, taking in these amazing communities and scenery. The fact that you can do that while raising money to help support foster children — it’s a win-win in my book,” Coddington said.
Bear Growl Gravel Grinder is an annual fundraiser for Sierra Nevada Connections, an established non-profit, community-based family services agency that provides foster and adoption services throughout Northern California as well as Reno, Nevada.
