3T’s Exploro Gets Friendlier Pricepoints with Rival, GRX and AXS Mullet Options
The 3T Exploro is a gravel racing machine, its geometry mimics an aggressive road riding position, and the frame features aero tubes to squeeze out every last ounce of speed. All that engineering comes with a big price tag, until now.
For those of us not looking to unload $10k on a new gravel bike, 3T now offers more affordable build options, like the Exploro PRO Rival that costs $3,600. It’s not a cheap bike by any means, but it’s certainly more attainable than the Exploro LTD Red eTap AXS which runs $10,000. Here’s a quick breakdown of the new builds.
At $3599 the Exploro PRO Rival is built using Rival1, Fulcrum 700c wheels, and a 3T Apto + Superergo Cockpit.
At $3799 the Exploro PRO GRX offers mechanical shifting and large 11-42t cassette. The bike is rounded out with the same Fulcrum 7 DB wheelset and 3T Apto + Superergo cockpit.
Finally, at $5,799.00, the Exploro TEAM Force/Eagle uses the “mullet” AXS drivetrain, combining the Eagle rear derailleur, 11-50 cassette, and chain with the road shifters and disc brakes of the SRAM Force group. The build is finished with 27.5 Fulcrum wheels and gumwall WTB tires.
