Wahoo ELEMNT Roam Cycling Computer Launches

Wahoo Fitness is adding a third cycling computer to its lineup today. The Wahoo ELEMNT ROAM builds on the platform of the original ELEMNT and more compact BOLT by adding a color screen, longer battery life, and smart navigation features.

Wahoo ELEMNT ROAM Features

  • High-resolution color screen
  • On-the-go rerouting
  • 17+ hour battery life
  • Ambient light sensor adjusts color screen brightness
  • Price: $380
  • Available immediately

The stand out new feature of the Wahoo ELEMNT ROAM is the ability to create, retrace and modify routes on the fly. This is something I’ve wanted from my ELEMNT for years.

The ROAM’s Smart Navigation can get riders back to their pre-loaded routes if they take a detour. It can also route riders to the start of a saved route, retrace a route, and lead riders to saved locations. Additionally, Wahoo’s companion app now supports integration with mountain bike mapping platforms MTB Projects and Singletracks.

The ROAM, thankfully, eschews a touchscreen in favor of touch buttons like its predecessors. The ROAM looks a lot like the BOLT, but with a 2.7-inch color screen.

Endurance riders will definitely appreciate the new battery capacity which is good for a claimed 17 hours of ride time.

The ELEMNT ROAM is available now and retails for $380.
