Video: Wahoo Disciplines Episode 1: Cross is Boss
This episode of Wahoo Disciplines, follows Tom Pidcock and the Trinity Racing Team at the British National Cyclocross Championships. More to come in this three-episode series with a final long-form film to wrap it all up.
In the sport of professional cycling, to refer to a rider as a “Jack of all trades, master of none” would be anything but an insult. Since bike racing is an undertaking of a whole team, rather than an individual, the need for riders who can do it all has been critical. To win a race, a leader relies on riders who excel in the mountains as well as handling a crosswind or delivering a sprinter to within a few hundred meters of the finish line without the hope of winning themselves.
However, the latest generation of riders seek to dismantle that phrase, and rather than master none of their trades they wish to excel at all of them, across many different disciplines of cycling. Be that on the mountain bike, on the road or through the mud of a cyclocross race. Tom Pidcock and his TRINITY Racing team are here to prove it is possible to be a jack of all trades and to race and train with passion and discipline.
In this episode, we follow Tom Pidcock and the Trinity Racing Team at the British National Cyclocross Championships. This will be a three-episode series with a final long-form film at the end.
