The Continental Divide Trail in One Second per Day
Hike a 3,000-mile trail in only four minutes from the comfort of your office chair.
The Continental Divide trail covers 3,100 miles stretching from the Canadian border to Mexico. Along the way, the trail passes through Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico. The highest point on the trail is atop Grays Peak (14,270-feet) in Colorado. The whole thing takes at least six months to cover, so thru-hikers are a pretty rare breed.
There’s a lot to see over those 3,100 miles, but if you don’t have six-months to spare, you can get a little taste in four minutes by watching the video above. Led by Mac of Halfway Anywhere, the video is composed of one-second recordings from every single day of the journey.
