A $50 Ti Cage and a Stick for "That" Perfect Bike Photo
A quick look at two new titanium products from Stinner Frameworks: a $50 bottle cage with vertical adjustment and a clever, packable "Photostique."
I've always had a soft spot for small, perfectly executed titanium accessories. They're the kind of "finish the build" items that are simple, lightweight, and last forever. Stinner Frameworks just dropped two new Ti products that hit this note perfectly.
First are their new Titanium Bottle Cages. They have that classic, minimalist form that just works, but with a couple of nice, practical touches. The 15mm of vertical adjustment is a genuinely useful feature, especially for smaller frames or when you're trying to maximize space with a frame bag. And at $49.95, they're positioning themselves very competitively against the long-standing champions of the Ti cage world.
The second item is the one that really shows they know their audience: the "Photostique." It's a 3-piece titanium stick with a 3D-printed yoke designed to prop up your bike by the bottom bracket for photos. It’s an elegant, US-made solution for getting that "pro" floating bike shot without a big stick or ugly rock in the frame. The fact that it breaks down to the size of a pencil and assembles using bottle bosses is just plain clever. It’s a very specific tool for a very specific part of modern bike culture, and I love it for that.
