Gravel bikes have taken over the Sea Otter trade show in recent years. So, it was only a matter of time before the Sea Otter Classic added a gravel race to its schedule of professional racing.
The 2020 Sea Otter Classic will feature a gravel race on the Fort Ord National Monument. The Gravel Race will feature a UCI/USAC Professional wave for women and men as well as age group categories.
No course map yet, but the event is planned to be around 30 to 40 miles. I would guess the course might look something like the old XC mountain bike course. The short course will definitely attract an interesting mix of equipment choices.
