Rapha’s Crit Collection Is Bright and Loud

Rapha’s new Crit Collection looks good. Really good. Good looks are typical of the brand, but this is definitely a new look. Compared to the company’s typical retro-inspired lineup with clean lines and muted colors, this crit attire is wild. Which is fitting, crits are wild.

The collection features iridescent oil slick inspired designs and reflective logos for nighttime races along with a few new innovative functional design choices. Included in the line are an aerosuit, two versions of bib shorts and jerseys.

The Crit jersey and Crit aerosuit have a transparent mesh overlaid on the three rear pockets with a small opening allowing the insertion of the race bib number. Pretty cool feature allowing for a visible race number with no pin holes.

Rapha claims that the Pro Team Crit bib shorts and Crit aerosuit offer an aerodynamic edge thanks to their longer cut in the leg and the use of a single seam in the construction to streamline airflow. The Flyweight Jersey has less material to keep things fresh during hot summer race nights but retains the aero features to keep things slick. Pricing is typical Rapha insanity:

Pro Team Crit bib shorts  $235
Crit aerosuit  $315
Pro Team crit jersey  $165
Flyweight crit jersey  $135
Women’s Flyweight Crit jersey  $135
