Meet Mozi: The Social App That Actually Wants You Offline
Experience a new way to connect with friends offline. Discover how Mozi’s transparent Freemium model and private social network are changing the way we plan and hang out IRL.
I like the idea of Mozi, an app that literally tries to get you offline and out touching grass. This new private social network aims to help you see your friends more often, IRL. As one of their founders puts it, “Add your plans, check who’s in town, and know when you overlap.” Quite the antidote to the endless doom-scroll, right?
Besides feeling like an invite to an exclusive party, Mozi’s plan for growth is refreshingly transparent: “We plan to be ‘Freemium’ eventually, by introducing new, premium features that are available for a subscription.” If that means I can finally dodge the unsolicited ads for artisanal squirrel feeders in my timeline, sign me up. Besides, in a world where we happily subscribe to everything from calming meditation apps to snazzy music streaming services, a Freemium model that fosters genuine connection sounds like a pretty sweet deal.
