LEGO's 1,015-Piece Road Bike Actually Works (Sort Of)
LEGO's 1,015-piece road bike (June 2026) has working wheels and chain. A functional display model for cyclists — if you're okay with the price.
LEGO's new 11380 Road Bike (1,015 pieces, June 2026) is a display model that actually functions — wheels spin, chain moves with the pedals, and it includes a removable water bottle plus a kickstand. From a distance, the photos don't read as LEGO at all. The rubber tires and moving drivetrain are clever touches, but here's the catch: at 1,015 pieces, expect this to land somewhere in the $100–150 range based on LEGO's typical pricing. That's not cheap for what's essentially desk art.

If you're a cyclist who wants something tangible on a shelf that doesn't require maintenance or a bike hook, this works. It won't replace your actual road bike (obviously), but it's a better conversation piece than another generic poster. I can't verify build quality or how fiddly the chain mechanism is until someone gets hands on it, but LEGO's track record with moving parts in their Icons line has been solid. Just don't expect it to fit your actual bottle cages.
