The latest film featuring ultra-endurance cyclist Lachlan Morton, titled Far Beyond, documents his return to Kenya ahead of the demanding Migration Gravel Race. Instead of focusing on race tactics, the film chronicles an incredible journey Morton undertook with his friend and fellow rider, Kenneth Karayai. The pair rode from Nairobi to the Maasai Mara, navigating a raw landscape of potholes, wildlife-filled plains, and petrol-station meals. More than just a pre-race training ride, the film beautifully captures Morton's re-energized mindset and his reconnection with the foundational joys of cycling—community, freedom, and the simple act of “observing, feeling, and surviving,” rather than forcing a competitive outcome.
