Hammerhead Karoo Share: Instant Route Transfers Without Your Phone
Hammerhead's Karoo Share lets you instantly transfer routes and custom profiles between devices without a phone. One catch: it only works Karoo-to-Karoo.
Ever lined up at a race and realized you didn't download the route? Hammerhead might have the answer.
Hammerhead just rolled out Karoo Share, which lets you beam routes and custom profiles between Karoo units without a phone or internet. You tap a button, the other rider accepts, and you're synced. It's built for the parking lot scramble — someone shows up with a better route, or you want to clone your buddy's data screen layout before the ride starts.

The real win here is profile sharing. If you've spent an hour tweaking your race screen (power in top left, heart rate hidden, lap time big) you can now push that exact setup to a teammate's device in seconds. Here's the catch: this only works Karoo-to-Karoo. If your group runs mixed head units — a Wahoo here, a Garmin there — you're back to describing fields over someone's shoulder. And I can't verify how it handles conflicts if the receiving device already has a route with the same name. Still, for teams or couples on matching hardware, this removes one small annoying thing.
