Warner Bros. Discovery just took a giant leap into the past with the release of the first teaser for
Dune: Prophecy, a six-episode prequel series set to debut on Max this fall. The teaser sets the stage 10,000 years before the events of the Dune movies, focusing on two Harkonnen sisters who confront a looming threat to humanity while laying the groundwork for the Bene Gesserit sisterhood.
Based on the novel Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, this series stars Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, and the incomparable Mark Strong. The trailer showcases a sprawling narrative, promising a visually stunning and intricate expansion of the Dune universe.
While waiting for Dune: Prophecy to hit the screens, fans can look forward to Dune: Part Two, which will be available on Max starting May 21. For those who haven’t yet experienced it, this epic sequel is a must-see on the biggest screen possible.
First Look at The Last of Us Season 2
In addition to the Dune teaser, Warner Bros. Discovery also treated fans to the first official images from The Last of Us Season 2. Although it’s too early for a full trailer, the released images feature Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) in a setting that fans of the game might find familiar.
The series, which captivated audiences with its first season, will return to HBO and Max in 2025, with a hopeful premiere on January 1. The subtle details in the images, like the fairy lights behind Joel, hint at exciting developments to come.
