Trainer Season is Coming. So is the Criterion Sale.
The Criterion sale is on, and for me, it's not just about movies. As a cyclist, I see this as the perfect time to stock up on films for the indoor training season.

I’m always one to look for patterns, and the semi-annual Criterion sale is one I keep an eye on. It’s live right now, ending tomorrow, October 23rd, and it’s always a tempting opportunity to grab those specific, deep-cut films that rarely go on sale. My data-driven side always has to weigh the deal—it’s a great discount, but with Black Friday and the Barnes & Noble sale likely around the corner, it’s not the only chance we’ll get this year. It's a classic "good vs. perfect" pricing problem.
For me, though, this sale lines up perfectly with another season: the move indoors. As the gravel bike gets hung up more often, my training shifts to the basement. Staring at my power data on a screen gets old fast, and having a stack of genuinely great films I’ve been meaning to watch is my secret weapon for getting through a long winter training block. It’s the perfect time to stock up on some serious motivation for the trainer.
My Initial Take: If your film watch-list is long and your indoor training calendar is looking a little bleak, this is a perfect time to invest in some high-quality distractions. I’ll definitely be grabbing a few titles to get me through to spring.
