AllTrails New Lifeline Feature Adds Peace of Mind, Plus a Discount
AllTrails is the only app you need for getting out on the trail. I’m a big fan of the service and will be using it over the Labor Day weekend to navigate up Long’s Peak.
It’s always a good idea to bring a map along for any hike or climb and AllTrails makes that incredibly simple. The app has a vibrant community of over nine million users who provide reviews, trail condition reports and photos so finding a hike is a breeze as well. If you don’t want to use your phone, you can download and print maps for offline use as well.
Today, AllTrails is releasing its newest feature, Lifeline. With Lifeline, you can select up to five contacts who can then follow along as you move through the wilderness. Real-time tracking is reliant on a data connection, but in my experience you can usually find some service along route to let your followers know you’re still doing fine.
The announcement of Lifeline comes with a discount. Right now, if you sign up for a year-long membership, you can save $15. Usual price is $30 for the year. Get a 50 percent off promo with code LIFELINE. Definitely a service I highly recommend.
