The Robert Axle Project's Drive Thru Makes Drivetrain Cleaning Easy

Get Your Wheel Out of the Way

Though far from glamorous, routine drivetrain cleaning is essential for component longevity, especially during winter. The Robert Axle Project’s Drive Thru dummy hub makes the job easy, replacing your rear wheel to allow uninhibited access to the drivetrain and rear triangle for easy cleaning.

Based on a design by legendary framebuilder Chris McGovern, the Drive Thru retains the ability to shift, making cleaning inside your rear triangle or degreasing you derailleur pulleys especially convenient. The Drive Thru is at home everywhere from the pits at a ‘cross race to your workbench at home. The knurled axle stud head makes installation and removal easy, even with wet or greasy hands. The pulley wheel is captured by an o-ring on the axle, but can be easily removed to fit flat in a toolbox.
