Stages Has a Gravel Specific Power Meter Now

Stages just released a selection of new power meters designed for use with Shimano’s gravel specific GRX groupset.

The Shimano GRX groupset dropped in 2019 as the first gravel specific component group with features like increased tire and frame clearance and anti-slip levers.

The Stages GRX power meter is available in single sided Left or Right versions, as well as Stages’ more recent dual sided LR offering. A GRX 810 left-side power crank arm will run $299.

The GRX iteration of the Stages power meter comes with Stages Gen 3 electronics, with enhanced signal strength over previous generation. All of the power meters are ANT+ and Bluetooth compatible. The Stages power meter offers  +/- 1.5% accuracy, with Active Temperature compensation for consistent data.

Earlier this month, Stages announced a  major drop in prices, across its entire range. The price slash was apparently made possible by an increase in its indoor cycling business.

I’m currently running two gen 2 Stage power meters on my bikes, including a Force 1x on my gravel rig, and they’ve been great as has been the Colorado-based support.
