Ride the Giro D'Italia Bologna TT Course on Zwift

In the lead up to the 102nd edition of the Giro d’Italia, Zwift has announced a partnership with RCS Sport to bring a brand-new course to Zwift.

The course replicates the 8.2km (5.1 mile) TT prologue of the Giro and it will be released the same day pros ride it: Saturday, May 11th.

The Course

The course sets off in historic Bologna, the prologue features a 6km flat run into a tough 2.1km climb with an average gradient of 9.7%. Max gradient is a scary 16%. This course will make the legs burn.

The ride rolls through some truly beautiful scenery including the Piazza Maggiore and finishes on Colle della Guardia hill, where the Sanctuary of the Madonna of San Luca stands.

Giro D’Italia TT Challenge

The new course will be available to riders of the  Giro d’Italia challenge  on Zwift. Details are scant, but some type of new “TT mode” appears to be in the works.

Everyone that completes the challenge between May 11-13 will be entered into a drawing to win an official Giro leader’s jersey signed by the 2019 Giro winner.
