Pinot Wins Stage 14 Atop Tourmalet & Alaphilippe Improves Lead in 2019 Tour de France

A big day for the french today. Stage 14 of the 2019 Tour de France saw Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ) take the stage victory atop the Tourmalet, while his fellow frenchman Julian Alaphilippe finished second and added to his overall lead. Steven Kruijswijk (Jumbo-Visma) nabbed third. Defending champion Geraint Thomas (Ineos) lost 36 seconds on the stage.

Thomas’ additional losses now leave Alaphilippe over two minutes ahead of the competition in the GC battle.
