It’s been more than a half-century since Porsche first started producing 911s. That fact alone is stunning, no other car from 1963 is still in production today, plenty of manufacturers around then aren’t even around anymore. What’s even more impressive is that Porsche just rolled its one-millionth 911 off the line. And it’s something special.
Painted a beautiful Irish green, the millionth Porsche 911 was designed and built to mimic much of what came on the original 1963 versions. Speaking of those original 911s from 1963, over 70 percent of them are still on the road today. Pretty incredible. This millionth car celebrates the brand’s dedication to quality design and manufacturing.
This special 911 isn’t for sale though, instead it’s scheduled to embark on a world tour that will take it through the Scottish Highlands, across the United States and China, and around the Nurburgring.Learn More: Porsche
