Elite Releases Biodegradable JET Water Bottle

Elite Releases Biodegradable JET Water Bottle
It’s the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, to celebrate Elite Cycling is releasing a new water bottle. Whether a bottle gets tossed in a race or gets reused for years, it will eventually make its way to a landfill. With that in mind, Elite has created a new Jet bottle which uses a special BPA-free plastic that is treated with an additive which allows it to decompose quicker than standard plastics. Elite states:
“thanks to this additive, the microorganisms responsible for the biodegradation of materials attack the polymeric chain of the plastic, thus significantly reducing the time it takes for the bottle to degrade.”
Elite claims that the Jet bottle will take between 3 months – 5 years to break down whereas regular plastic will take between 100 – 1000 years. The bottle includes the Elite cap from their lightweight Fly bottle, which has a high flow nozzle. Offered in 550, 750, and 950ml sizes and four colors, the bottles are dishwasher safe and available now. More info over at elite-it.com
