Canyon’s New Gravel Bike Has One Weird Handlebar

Gravel riding is growing like crazy and the market is scampering to keep up. Canyon is entering the Gravel scene with its just released Grail. Unlike a lot of manufacturers offerings, the Grail is not simply a beefed up version of an existing road bike line. Instead, the Grail was designed and built from the ground up to excel on gravel. The most striking feature of the new bike is the handlebar which Canyon calls the Hover bar. The bar is said to provide more flex and bump smoothing while riding on the tops while still offering a nice stiff ride in the drops for all out sprints. An entry level Grail build starts at  $2,299, fully optioned the bike can reach $4,899 for the  Grail CF SLX 8.0 Di2.
